Well, I've been home a grand total of three and a bit days, and already I'm beginning to get
back on top of the comic schedule. I'm already working on Saturday's page (which, if I pull
it off, could be very shiny). It helps that there's nothing to do around here except draw,
watch anime, play video games, and occasionally pretend to be able to play the piano. I hope
to have a buffer of a few pages ready by the end of the hols, and I've only actually got two
seriously busy weeks after that (I mean, sure I'll have exams to revise for, but not very
many - I am a lazy-ass arts student, after all), so in all I should be able to manage until
September (at least), and God help me if this storyline isn't over by then...
Speaking of anime, I'm finally getting to grips with Mushishi, which has turned out to be
surprisinly non-formulaic and non-repetitive, though in exchange for that, the ongoing plot
is very slim. Jigoku Shojo, by almost direct contrast, is getting annoyingly repetitive
(as in, they're still telling different versions of the same story by episode 14 - with only
two or three non-formula episodes), but at least there's the faint sense of plot momentum
building. Shibata was so close in episode 14! So close!
Not much else to say, really; my home internet connection is a little on the dodgy side, and
my mum has the annoying habit of fiddling with it at unpredicatble times. Normally she warns
me, but this evening she caught me out. I should be alright, but it might delay the odd update
here and there.
