Again, not much to say today. I'm pretty pleased with today's page; I tried to be a little
more adventurous than the usual 'plague of head-shots' shtick, and it seems to have worked.
Writing-wise, it's nice to have a little time with just Mike and Brian - it's been almost
a hundred strips since I last got to stick the two of them in a room and have them snark at
each other, and I managed to get a glam rock joke in there as well (hey, I find it funny ^_-)

In other news, I finally got round to watching Ouran High School Host Club 10. And, because
it came out on Saturday night, 11 as well. Both were very good, though in episode 10 I have
to say I began to find the arrogance of Tamaki and the twins more than a little annoying.
Damn rich kids... (*realises he probably *is* a rich-kid and shuts up quick*).

There's also .Hack//Roots 11, which was very good, but a little unsatisfying. One of those
annoying .Hack episodes where a lot of talking is done and the plot barely progresses at all.
Grrrr... Still, at least we now have a 'Sign' in out .Hack, even if it's in the wrong .Hack.

And then? Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, which I watched immediately before going to bed last
night. As ever, this is a bad idea. Episode 11 is immensely powerful and deeply unsettling.
The fact that every even in it is believable says some pretty terrifying things about the
human psyche and what we're capable of. Until now, Higurashi has been scary because of Keichi's
fear, which the writers and animators have worked wonders to bring out. Now, that's shifted
round completely; having identified with Keichi and been drawn into his character and point
of view, it's deeply unsettling to see him have the massive, yet entirely believable, shift
he has in this episode. Eep.

Anything else? Don't think so... I've now finished drawing Prismatic Vodka up until the end of
this week, so there's still the off-chance I'll find time for some Zobbo (I hope so; I'm
really enjoying the current storyline).

Wub, Rik
