Prismatic Vodka #83 Wednesday July 5th 2006 "Welcome to Great Notimporton bus station..." copyright 2005 Rik Davnall, all rights reserved Rik_the_Riff@hotmail.com - email me! Okay, so that's a lazy-ass splash page. I like them. I get to do less art. Still, you gotta love Mike's plans, right? I rewatched the whole of Rozen Maiden Traumend yesterday with Helen. I gotta say I'd forgotten how good it is. The first half actually flew by, which is weird given that I think of Rozen Maiden and its sequel as both being slow starters. But the finale? Well, wow; the animation, particularly for the final duel, is awesome. I just wish the plot wasn't thrown away so badly at the end. Ah, well, only a few months 'til the next season should appear. From the old to the new; Higurashi no Naku Koro ni episode 13. This one is very strange, and there are a bunch of plot-holes, but the conclusion worked, in a Higurashi sort of way. I sat watching it saying to myself 'what the hell?' all the time, anyway. .Hack//Roots 13... well, I thought this was an awesome episode. No expense spared as far as action goes, some even-sweeter romance stuff between Haseo and Shino, even more tantalising hints of what the Sign might be, and then the twist. Which I'm not happy about, because it affects one of my favourite characters in a very bad way >_< Also, poor Tabby; everyone's leaving her... Wub, Rik ![]() ![]()
