Prismatic Vodka #85 Monday July 10th 2006 "Starcups Tower, or All This And Architectural Commentary?" copyright 2005 Rik Davnall, all rights reserved Rik_the_Riff@hotmail.com - email me! Well, in total over the weekend, I drew five of the three pages I was planning to draw, and I managed to script the whole of part 3 of this chapter as well. Not bad for two days' work in which I also managed to fix a problem resulting from the redesign, watch five episodes of anime, finish reading a novel and pop out to the local shops twice. At this rate, I might actually manage to be ahead by the end of the holiday. Okay, so it's not a holiday, really; my holiday ended yesterday. I start work today :-p Anyway, I'm really happy with how much I've drawn this weekend. Finishing up a total of eight pages ahead (technically nine, if you want to count this one) was beyond my wildest dreams a mere 48 hours ago. I also managed to develop my art style a little - watch out for a change in the way I draw clothes over the next couple of weeks - and even do some of the most challenging drawing I've ever done. The script for part 3 is the best yet; though a little less funny than this chapter's been so far, it does deal with one thing in particular which it was very important to me to get right. But we'll get to that when we come to it... Anyway, the only anime watching I've done today was Eureka Seven episode 43. This episode was brilliant. The plot might have all but stalled again as we move into the setup for the finale, but the insights provided into Dewey's character were fascinating (he's kinda scary), the bizarre main-plot twist which was hinted-at-or-maybe-made-explicit was kinda stunning, and the animation in the big battle sequence was just freakin' awesome. I sat there with my jaw on the floor. Anyway, that's enough for now; Little Heart tomorrow! Wub, Rik ![]() ![]()
