I love that bus... Special revelation about it on Friday (which will probably get me slapped
^^;). This page turned out pretty well; I could have done with putting a little more effort
into bits of it; the landing pad isn't prefect. The bus, however, came out just right (it's
harder than it looks). Since it's on the billboard on the bus, why not check out
Ooops, Nevermind? You won't regret it...

I finally got round to Higurashi 15. I've gotten stuck as far as drawing goes; the page I'm
working on, page 147, is by far the most technically complicated I've ever drawn. I'm having
to draw it as three or four separate drawings and put them together electronically, which is
going to be hard enough, but each of the drawings is also pretty difficult. It should look
awesome when finished, but it's going to take forever. Combine that with massive writers'
block on Zobbo (I can write it, it just feels like it's stuck in a rut and I'd like to get
out of that rut), and I'm feeling pretty frustrated. So, I watched Hig 15.

Yeah, I watch terrifying horror anime to relax. I am so screwed up. Anyway, I thought this
episode was pretty good, in plot terms. I couldn't enjoy it, though; unlike previous chapters,
which have built slowly to a terrifying resolution, starting quite gently with only the
barest hints of horrors to come, this episode goes all-out. It gives no time to build a
rapport with the characters (as the first two chapters did so well), but instead just throws
them at you as if expecting you to care despite the complete reset of the world. It's just
not subtle enough any more. *grumble* That, and they seem to be trying to do too much; it's
hinted that Rika and Satoko might be going crazy (not to mention Satoshi) in addition to
Mion; it's just too much, and I can't help feeling that they're going to overcrowd this
chapter. Still good, just not up to previous standards.
