The Reavers and ship designs in today's comic are all property of Luke Turner, creator of the Foxfire Chronicles.
He's very kindly lent me them and some other stuff for the purposes of the Crossover Wars
Go read his comic, it's ace. Thanks also to the almighty Howard Tayler of Schlock Mercenary,
for lending us all the use of his universe. It's an honour (sir) ^_-- Also, you might want to go
hereto see what happens next!
Anyway, rampant fanboyism aside, here's a page I'm happy with. It could possibly be better, but then
it's only taken me about an hour and three quarters to put together, and time is of the essence.
My participation in the wars is now coming to a head, in what's turned out to be one of the more
interestingly cross-format chapters of the Wars storyline. As to what I mean by that? Well, you'll
have to wait and see. Let's just say it means a lot more work for me, but a far more awesome
product for you (you exploitative, freeloading gits ^_--).
But yeah, it's fun. Here's hoping I don't have to draw too many more spaceships.
Oh, wait. The battle thing.. >_< ^_--
It's hard to believe it's only been three weeks since I got myself into this mess... Three weeks ago
(pretty much to the minute as I write this), I was PMing Hogan to say 'yeah, I think I can just
about manage to get this story down to nine pages so that it can be complete on May 1st'. And here
I am, without missing a page or having any of them substantially late. I wouldn't have believed I
had it in me three weeks ago, but as it's happened, having the extra pressure of the time limit
on this stuff has really got my ass back in gear.
But yeah, it's all been for this moment. Showtime...
Aside from the drawing, life is kinda being sidelined XD I just about manage to make it to my
lectures and meals and so on. Band practice last night went very well; it really feels like we're
making progress, even in the face of the approaching exams. Tonight I'm hopefully going back to
Bar Hannah's for another open mic performance, if my voice holds out (it's been wobbly since the
weekend). I keep busy... ^_--
Wub,
Rik
