The Reavers and ship designs in today's comic are all property of Luke Turner, creator of the Foxfire Chronicles. He's very kindly lent me them and some other stuff for the purposes of the Crossover Wars Go read his comic, it's ace. Thanks also to the almighty Howard Tayler of Schlock Mercenary, for lending us all the use of his universe. I hope you all went here yesterday to see the battle kick off!

Anyway, here we go; the battle begins. It's all so exciting! And freakin' hard to draw (I *really* need to find an easier way to do some of these special effects...). Still, I'm very pleased with the last panel of this page. It worked out pretty well, all told.

I bombed like a dive-bomber at Hannah's on Tuesday night. Because Liverpool won the football match, the place was full of drunk football fans instead of the usual open mic crowd, so it was quite hard to get them excited about my melancholy acoustic rock songs... Ah, well, maybe next time...

Yesterday was quiet and notably less productive than the last few; I'm struggling with layout on Saturday's page, which has been a barrier to progress. I'm hoping to get the lineart finished after uploading this page, and then finish it off on Friday. Today's shaping up to be another drawing-free day; two heavy seminars, and then a gig a couple of band I follow are playing in the evening. I'll see what I can squeeze in...
